Getting Ready

Ideal Time Taken  – 45-60 minutes
Ideal Time of Day – Early Afternoon
Ideal Location – Hotel Room or Wherever You’re Getting Ready

Pro Tip – Getting ready is when some of the most emotional moments of the day happen so it’s very important for me to have a nice chunk of time to capture those precious times. Think about when you’re out drinking with friends and how much you laugh, play, and sometimes cry. Those are the candid photos that I want to give you during this time.

I like to jump back and forth between the couple during this time to make sure that I get every important moment.

Solo Portraits

IDEAL TIME TAKEN  – 15-30 MINUTES
IDEAL TIME OF DAY – Mid AFTERNOON or right after getting dressed
IDEAL LOCATION – HOTEL ROOm, lobby, venue, and surrounding environments

Pro Tip – Directly after getting dressed is the best time for solo portraits. This is a great time to capture you both looking your best before you start crying, sweating and partying. I love using the window light in hotel rooms to capture these beautiful portraits plus this is a great time for you to take a short breather before seeing your partner.

First Look & Couples Portraits

IDEAL TIME TAKEN  – 45-60 MINUTES
IDEAL TIME OF DAY – MID AFTERNOON, RIGHT AFTER First Look or the ceremony
IDEAL LOCATION – HOTEL ROOM, LOBBY, VENUE AND SURROUNDING ENVIRONMENTS

Pro Tip – During this time, the couple takes a few intimate moments together and enjoy seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day. The first look will only be 5-10 minutes so the rest of the time is spent on portraits of the couple.

Sometimes couples prefer to do the portrait session after the ceremony. This option is also a great opportunity to take a breather and enjoy each other away from your wedding guests for a moment.

Wedding Party

Ideal Time Taken – 15-30 minutes
Ideal Time of Day – Right After Getting Dressed, After First Look, or after couples session. Usually mid-late afternoon.
Ideal Location -Venue Lobby, Venue Garden, Beach, Park, or Surrounding Areas

Pro Tip – Wedding party photos should be around 15-30 minutes. I’ll capture a variety of poses, environments, and moments.

I make sure to capture those fun, high-energy shots that we all love looking at. I also make sure to get every member photographed with you and your partner just so you have them.

Family Photos

Ideal Time Taken – 15-30 minutes
Ideal Time of Day –
Right After Getting Dressed, After First Look, or after a couples session. Usually mid-late afternoon.
Ideal Location
-Venue Lobby, Venue Garden, Beach, Park, or Surrounding Areas

Pro Tip – I know how important your family is to you so I strive to have additional images with your kids, parents, grandparents, and siblings beyond the basic formal photos. These sessions are short, simple, and fun and tend to be less “posed” than the other photos.

Ceremony & Venue Details

Ideal Time Taken – 15-30 minutes
Ideal Time of Day –
Right After Venue is ready for the ceremony or before guests arrive
Ideal Location
-Venue

Pro Tip – I will take pictures of the ceremony site, completely set up with no guests or vendors in the area.

Before the guests arrive and are seated,  it’s important that we are there to capture the details of your ceremony so we can capture the venue at its best just the way you wanted.
